| UPDATE SPECIAL! Getting settled into the Lake area has been quite a challenge. The picture below shows our individual biggest fish this year before the water ran out of the lake in August. The lake is at its historical lowest point. In Texas, someone owns the water - in our case 100 miles to our west a too-fast developing Tarrant county owns our water and is pumping 98,000,000 gallons of water a day for communities poorly planned, overpopulated, and with no realistic planning for the results of that growth combined with a three year drought in this part of Texas! We have been more concerned with dealing with the infrastructure problems, such as CoOp power, a private water system that failed, dangerous watersports conditions to work much on antennas and such. Rosie (Picture right above) had cataract surgery this week...she can see but is ooh so tired! That's a good part of the low activity, since she is a "patient" with no limitations!. |
