Like much of America, this has been a year of both turmoil and delights to the N1CC Family.  The national election and the admission of the government that we are in a recession leaves many Americans questioning their future.  All I can hope for is that the future will be free of terror, poverty, hunger, and tragedy.  Some of our "good" news from 2008 is depicted below.  Perhaps the spirit of the holidays will help show us the way.  Good luck to all in the New Year!  After operation notes:  Band conditions were very poor, I am delighted my low antenna allowed 200 two-way contacts.  Sorry couldn't make it to some stations that were too far down in the noise.  With the A-Index ranging from 8 up to 3 and K-Index over 5 to 2 it's no wonder conditions were difficult.  Someday SUNSPOTS will come back!
