Christmas Carol Page

Wow!  Sunspots have returned.  Sadly, the water has left our lake ... our cove is nearly dry, with only inches of water as the drought in Texas continues.  More hamming, since we cannot get the boat out ... it is too heavy to drag 800 feet to water deep enough for it to float!  New Antenna system should improve my signal!  Heidi the Rottie's cancer went into remission for four months, and is back.  She is in round two of chemotherapy.  We are activly working towards change in our national government, since the present Executive branch and the US  Senate will not do their job.  We hope this is the last Christmas with the economy in trouble.

240001-240420 : Operation began on time, however, conditions were disturbed.  Noise level high and difficult copy on most stations.  Later attempts on 75 and 40 did not producte contacts.  Will resume on 20 and up in the morning.
24/1520-24/2350: Conditions very unpredictable.  Some good openings, a lot of fading and noise (atmospherics).  Many times would need 4 - 5 trys to pick a call out due to fading.  Will be back on later tonight for 75/40 attempt.
25/0445-240525:   Difficult noise locally.  ONCOR - not my provider - 2 miles away has a problem that my power company has reported to them.  ONCOR is not known to "worry" about FCC complaints, however, I think they underestimate what will happen by forcing FCC to file against them.  They are known in Texas state-wide as a poor maintenance operation.  This entire weekend I have been plagued by thier "problem".  Back in the daylight on the higher bands.
25/1200: Back on 75M to start. 1230, MOVE TO 7243. 1245 BACK TO 3835. 14282 AT 1330 - OFF 1500 BREAK
25/1805: On Ten Meters AND 15 Meters.  Noise and propagation unusual.  Operating ended 1950 UTC
